Has written books in English on Folk Performing Arts of Andhra Pradesh – Tolu Bommalata, Toorpu Bhagavatham and Folk Performing Arts of Andhra Pradesh. Besides these books extensive research work has been done along with field work.
Surveyed 64 Folk Performing Arts of Andhra Pradesh and documented them. Also brought the findings in the form a book. (Folk Performing Arts of Andhra Pradesh).
Wrote about 60 research papers on Andhra Folk Performing Arts including all the Folk Theatre Forms and Scroll Painting & Performance Traditions of Andhra Pradesh.
Surveyed the Puppet Theatre traditions of Andhra, for the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
Conducted workshops on the use of traditional Art Forms for communication in several state capitals in India, including at the Institute of Administration, Mussorie.
Led folk theatre groups to national and International festivals.
Toured Russia, Japan (three times) and Greece (six times) with his Puppet performing groups, the latest one being the International Shadow Theatre Festival at Larissa, Greece in April, 1998 and conducted workshops besides performing in all the major cities of Japan & Greece.
Was Convenor of Folk Festivals under the auspices of the Sangeet Natak Akademi and the government of Andhra Pradesh, 1970, 1985 & 1992.
Served as Specialist-Advisor for Sangeet Natak Akademi for surveying the Tribal Performing Arts in Andhra Pradesh, 1991-92.
Documented the performance of the Toorpu Bhagavatham for the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, 1995.
Documented the performance of the Toorpu Bhagavatham for the South Zone Cultural Center, Nagpur, 2000.
Served as Specialist-Consultant and Executive Director of Six Episodes on “Folklore of Andhra Pradesh” telecast by Door Darshan, New Delhi, (also dubbed into French and German languages and telecast).
Conducted workshops on Puppetry both in India and abroad.
Produced video films on Temple Rituals and select folk performing Arts of Andhra Pradesh for A.P. Sangeet Natak Akademi, Hyderabad.
Brought out two books and cassettes with theatre songs and poems on the earlier Gramaphone singers.
